Prior to joining Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell, David practiced at a civil litigation firm where he focused on employment law, commercial litigation, civil rights litigation, and general negligence litigation. He is also a former Assistant City Attorney for North Bay Village, Florida, where he advised the city and its public officials on local government matters to limit potential liability. David has also defended high-profile lawsuits against municipalities and police officers.
David received his law degree from Rutgers School of Law. During law school he served as the President of the Association of Latin American Law Students and as a Class Representative for the Student Bar Association; David also obtained valuable internships at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and with two federal judges - a U.S. District Judge and a U.S. Magistrate Judge.
