Sara Klco represents clients in casualty defense, product liability defense, and appellate matters. In her products liability practice, Sara defends manufacturers and distributors of passenger cars and trucks, tires, consumer products, industrial equipment and industrial products. She also defends claims of premise liability, general negligence, and other torts.
Prior to joining the firm, Sara clerked for the Honorable Dorian K. Damoorgian at the Fourth District Court of Appeal. As a staff attorney at the Fourth District, Sara worked on numerous appeals concerning many areas of civil law, and drafted opinions and bench memorandum with recommendations as to resolution of the case.
Sara received her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, in Political Science from Stetson University and concurrently obtained her J.D. and M.B.A. from Stetson University College of Law where she was a member of Phi Delta Phi (National Legal Honor Society). While in law school, Sara served as a Senior Associate of the Stetson Law Review and was a member of the Moot Court Board. In 2007, she competed in the Jessup International Southeast Regional Moot Court Competition, winning Best Memorial, advancing to the Semi-Finals, and placing among the top ten oralists. Additionally, Sara served as a federal intern for the Honorable Elizabeth A. Jenkins at the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida. At graduation, Sara was the recipient of the National Order of Scribes Award for excellence in legal writing and professionalism and the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award. She also obtained book awards in Research and Writing II, Agency and Unincorporated Associations, and Appellate Practice.
