LaShawnda Jackson practices in the areas of casualty defense, product liability and insurance coverage. LaShawnda defends individuals and companies against premises liability, product defect, and motor vehicle accident liability claims. LaShawnda handles personal injury, wrongful death and property damage cases. Defending manufacturers and distributors against product liability claims is part of LaShawnda’s practice. She has defended a variety of products, including automobiles, forklift trucks, refuse trucks escalators and personal watercraft.
LaShawnda also advises and represents public entities such as housing authorities and various governmental agencies and municipalities with regard to public record laws and compliance with Section 119 of the Florida Statutes. She has also represented clients who have been denied access to public records of the state and other governmental entities.
LaShawnda assists insurance industry clients in coverage disputes and defends them against bad faith claims.
