Candy Messersmith focuses her practice in the areas of insurance coverage and bad faith and appellate law. She defends insurance industry clients against coverage and bad faith claims as well as class actions. Her experience includes coverage and bad faith matters involving a variety of policy types, including commercial general liability (particularly construction defect claims), commercial auto, directors and officers, errors and omissions, excess and umbrella, and personal lines. Candy’s appellate practice includes appeals to the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
Prior to joining Rumberger, she clerked for Chief Justice Charles Wells of the Florida Supreme Court.
