Rob Blank Achieves Board Certification in Civil Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy

06.06.17

TAMPA, FL, June 6, 2017 –Rob Blank has successfully achieved Board Certification as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA). Blank, who concentrates in the areas of trucking litigation, casualty defense and product liability, joins a growing number of trial attorneys that have illustrated their commitment to bettering the legal profession by successfully completing a rigorous application process and providing the consumer of legal services with an objective measure by which to choose qualified and experienced legal counsel.

Board certification is the highest, most stringent, and most reliable honor an attorney can achieve. Board certifications are the only distinctions awarded by non-profit organizations. Approximately three percent of American lawyers are board certified. Blank joins a very select group who has taken the time to prove competence in their specialty area and earn board certification.

The elaborate screening of credentials that all NBTA board certified attorneys must successfully complete includes: demonstration of substantial trial experience, submission of judicial and peer references to attest to their competency, attendance of continuing legal education courses, submission of legal writing documents, proof of good standing and passing of an examination.

Blank earned his undergraduate degree in Business Management from the University of South Florida. He is a graduate of Stetson University College of Law and is licensed to practice in Florida. Blank has been involved in dozens of jury trials all over Florida, in both state and federal court. He is a member of The Florida Bar Trial Lawyers Section, Hillsborough County Bar Association Trial Lawyers Section, Defense Research Institute and the Florida Defense Lawyers Association. He has published a number of articles including:

  • "Theme Park Defense: 10 Things to Know," May 2017
  • “Pulling the Nails out of the Avallone Coffin Should Excess Liability Coverage on a Self Insurance Fund Constitute a Waiver of Sovereign Immunity?,” 20 Stetson Law Review 971
