Rumberger Continues to Diversify Leadership: Appoints Orlando Attorneys to Management

Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell is pleased to announce Suzanne Barto Hill has been elected to the firm’s executive committee, making her the first female to serve in this position. Additionally, Sally Rogers Culley has been named administrative partner of the firm’s Orlando office.

Suzanne Barto Hill Joins the Executive Committee:

As a member of Rumberger’s executive committee, Hill will participate in the oversight of the strategic direction and growth of the firm, as well as establish firm policy.

“I am honored to accept this position, and to serve our firm and our clients in this leadership role,” said Hill. “Rumberger has witnessed incredible growth since it was founded 40 years ago, but the firm’s commitment to professionalism and integrity remains as strong today. I am proud to carry this vision of our founders into the future, and to foster the firm’s emerging leaders, continued growth and client services.” As for her priorities, Hill said “I hope to use my years of experience representing strong business leaders to bring strategic and innovative thinking to forward planning, and building a future for the firm, its people and our clients.” 

Hill focuses her practice primarily on commercial litigation representing financial institutions, lenders, business owners and professionals in a variety of matters including claims of negligence, malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty and other claims of intentional and negligent wrongdoing. She also represents clients in intellectual property litigation including protecting and enforcing patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. She represents clients in federal court on matters involving claims of infringement. 

Hill also represents employers in claims involving sexual harassment, discrimination, disabilities, the Family Medical Leave Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act.

She earned her undergraduate and law degree from the University of Florida.

Sally Rogers Culley -  Administrative Partner in Orlando: 

 

As administrative partner, Culley will oversee the operations of the Orlando office. In this role, she is responsible for managing the local attorneys and staff, handling concerns and related personnel matters, and enforcing firm policies.

“I am eager to jump into this new role, and excited and proud to be part of the future of this great firm,” says Culley.   “I look forward to working more closely with those in the Orlando office to keep things running smoothly so our attorneys and legal staff can continue to focus on taking care of our clients.”

Culley practices in the areas of employment and commercial litigation. Her clients include large banks, mortgage servicers, insurance companies, public entities and small businesses. She defends employers in claims of discrimination, wage and hour violations, whistle-blower violations, wrongful termination, harassment and retaliation. She also provides consulting and training services designed to help prevent such claims and minimize risk.

In her commercial litigation practice, Culley handles contract disputes, fraud, and statutory matters. She also represents clients in commercial mortgage foreclosures and workouts, construction lien compliance and litigation, quiet title actions, bankruptcy and collection matters.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Samford University, and her law degree from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill School of Law.
