Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell Names Three New Partners in Orlando, Tampa and Birmingham Offices
Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell has elected three new partners to the firm including Rebecca Beers (Birmingham), Carie Hall (Tampa) and Chase Hattaway (Orlando).

Rebecca Beers focuses her practice in the areas of securities litigation and commercial litigation. She represents broker-dealers and registered investment advisors in state and federal courts and in FINRA arbitration. She also has substantial experience in complex commercial litigation, including class actions and employment matters. In addition, Beers has developed a wide-ranging expertise in arbitration law and has represented both small business owners as well as large corporate clients across the state of Alabama.
Beers has been recognized as a “Rising Star” from Super Layers, Birmingham Business Journal and B-Metro publications and as one of B-Metro Magazine’s "Top Women Lawyers" for 2018. She is an active volunteer in the community serving on boards for both her alma mater, Birmingham-Southern College and the Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital. Beers was named a Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotaract Club of Birmingham, volunteers with the Junior League of Birmingham, the Birmingham Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program and as past president of the Young Lawyers Section of the Birmingham Bar Association. She received her law degree, cum laude, from the Washington & Lee University School of Law and her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Birmingham-Southern College.
Carie Hall focuses her practice in the areas of casualty and product liability litigation. In her casualty practice, Hall defends clients against premises liability, auto negligence and other tort claims. Her product liability practice includes defending manufacturers and distributors of consumer products.
Hall has more than 25 years of litigation experience with Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell, having worked for the firm as a legal assistant before going to law school. Hall earned her law degree, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law, a B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude, from the University of South Florida, and her A.S. in Paralegal Studies, magna cum laude, from Tampa College.
Chase Hattaway practices in the areas of employment, casualty litigation and construction defect litigation. In his employment practice, he consults with employers on compliance with state and federal law and defends employers in state and federal court against various claims of discrimination or wrongful termination. As part of his casualty practice, Hattaway defends retailers in cases involving significant personal injuries. He also represents general contractors and subcontractors in construction defect cases.
Hattaway earned his law degree from Stetson University College of Law where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and a Research Assistant to professor Jason Palmer. Chase was a 2010 inductee to the Order of the Barristers and a 2010 Who’s Who Among American Law Students. Chase also received several honors including the 2010 Ralph Harris Ferrell Competition Award, 2010 Moot Court Award of Excellence and 2010 Victor O. Wehle Trial Advocacy Award. He received his B.S. in Political Science from the University of Central Florida.
