Abigail Roberts and Santa Rosa County Team Up to Talk about Legal and Regulatory Considerations Involved with Commercial and Government Drone Operations
Abigail Roberts and Santa Rosa County teamed up to discuss the use of drones for field data collection, imagery capture and workflow improvement, as well as address the legal considerations that jurisdictions encounter when using drones for these and other applications at two recent conferences. Roberts was joined on a panel discussion by Santa Rosa County Property Appraiser Greg Brown, CFA and Santa Rosa County General Counsel/Director of Programming Karl Sandell, JD, CFE at both the 22nd Annual GIS/CAMA conference in March, sponsored by Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA) and the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO), as well as the Florida Chapter of IAAO Annual Conference in April.
