Monica Segura Appointed Chair of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Professionalism Panels
Miami partner Monica Segura has been appointed as Chair of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Professionalism Panels.
Segura is successor to Rumberger partner Josh Lerner. The panel members are charged with receiving, screening, and acting upon complaints of unprofessional conduct by attorneys practicing within the Circuit.
“Monica represents the next generation of RumbergerKirk lawyers reinforcing the importance of professionalism and civility in the legal profession, ” said Scott Sarason, Administrative Partner in the firm’s Miami office.
Segura focuses her practice in the areas of the areas of construction, insurance coverage and casualty litigation. She represents insurance companies against coverage and property claims involving homeowners, automobile, life and commercial general liability policies. She also defends general contractors, subcontractors, and developers against multi-million dollar construction defect claims by individual homeowners and homeowners associations.
In addition, Segura serves as the Magistrate/Special Master for the Town of Miami Lakes, Florida where she oversees building code disputes that arise while assisting both the Town and residents with these issues.
