Rebecca Arends Selected for Workforce Development Committee Leadership Role
Rebecca Arends has been selected as Policy Council Liaison for the Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce Workforce Development Committee. The committee aims to develop workforce talent, advocate for innovative educational initiatives and inspire meaningful academic and business partnerships. She will serve in the role through December 2020.
“As policy council liaison, I will provide updates to the Workforce Development Committee and Public Policy Committee on relevant legislative agendas that may have an impact on the goals for the committees and the chamber,” said Arends.
“I hope to provide business leaders participating on the committee with an opportunity to help determine and recognize the academic needs of our community and successfully advocate for those needs. Workforce development is essential to our community, as it drives our economies and provides opportunities for our citizens to excel in areas, while driving new talent to the ever growing Tampa Bay area,” she added.
