During the Alabama Association for Justice’s Annual Worker’s Compensation Seminar on September 14, Craig Alexander addressed the ethical rules and principles that should guide a lawyer dealing with a client who cannot be found, or who proves uncooperative with the lawyer’s effort to guide the client through a legal problem.

He also addressed the extent of the lawyer’s professional responsibility to find a missing client and the authority of the lawyer to take action on a missing client. He covered tips for resolving problems with uncooperative clients, as well as situations in which the lawyer is entitled to withdraw from the representation of an uncooperative client.
