Katherine Becerra focuses her practice on appeals in federal and state courts. She also represents clients in commercial litigation, product liability, construction, and general negligence matters.
Katherine assists clients with appellate briefs and dispositive motions, including motions for summary judgment and motions to dismiss. Her work includes conducting legal research and arguing motions at hearings. In construction matters, she represents contractors, developers, and design professionals in disputes involving alleged defects.
Katherine serves as a director of the Miami-Dade Bar Young Lawyers Section and was selected for Class IX of Dade Legal Aid’s Robert C. Josefsberg Leadership Academy. In 2026, she received the Miami-Dade Bar Young Lawyers Section’s “40 Under 40 Award,” recognizing her leadership, professionalism, and commitment to the legal community.
Katherine earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Florida International University College of Law. During law school, she interned for the Honorable Edwin Torres, Chief United States Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Florida. She also participated in RumbergerKirk’s Summer Associate Program in 2023.
Organized and participated in events to empower survivors and raise awareness of human trafficking.
