RumbergerKirk attorneys Katherine Becerra and Jessica Kerbel have been selected as recipients of the 2026 Miami-Dade Bar Young Lawyers Section 40 Under 40 Award, a recognition that highlights young attorneys who demonstrate leadership, professionalism and a strong commitment to the legal community. Katherine and Jessica will be honored alongside fellow recipients during the Young Lawyers Section’s annual celebration on Thursday, February 26, where peers gathered to recognize the next generation of leaders in the profession.

The annual award honors attorneys under 40 who have distinguished themselves through their work, service and dedication to the profession. Each year, nominees are evaluated through a competitive selection process led by peers within the Miami-Dade legal community.

“Katherine and Jessica represent the very best of the next generation of trial lawyers. Being named 40 under 40 is a testament to more than talent—it reflects character, discipline and dedication,” said Scott Sarason, administrative partner in the RumbergerKirk Miami office.

“These two young attorneys exemplify professionalism, an exceptional work ethic and a commitment to excellence that will continue to shape the future of our profession. This recognition is well earned,” he continued.

Both attorneys were grateful for the recognition. “It is an honor to practice alongside such supportive and inspiring mentors and peers across the Miami legal community and at RumbergerKirk. I am honored to be named amongst such accomplished attorneys. This recognition serves as motivation to continue practicing with care and professionalism,” said Katherine.

Jessica shared, “It’s an honor to be included in this group of talented young attorneys. I’m thankful for the guidance of my colleagues and mentors at RumbergerKirk and for the opportunity to contribute to the legal community. I appreciate the recognition and am grateful for the opportunities that have built a strong foundation for the continued development of my practice.”
