This week at RumbergerKirk was filled with so many milestone moments in such a short span of time that it feels impossible to fit it all into one blog!

Julia and I spent the early part of the week deep in preparation for a trial we had been helping with for weeks. From research assignments to organizing exhibits, we were fully immersed in the fast-paced energy of trial prep. On the morning of jury selection, we delivered final research binders to the courtroom, only to find out shortly after we left that the case had settled. While it was unexpected, it didn’t take away from how much we learned throughout the process.
Midweek, we attended an attorney luncheon featuring a presentation by RumbergerKirk Director of Professionalism, Career and Skill Development Paul Lipton, who offered a perspective on the legal profession that was as refreshing as it was inspiring. His words truly reshaped how I view my future in this field, and I left reminded of why I pursued law in the first place.
That same afternoon, Julia and I headed to Tampa for the Opening and Closings Workshop hosted by the Tampa office and led by Partner Rob Blank. The workshop was fast-paced, energizing, and incredibly educational. I received thoughtful feedback from Rob and several other attorneys that I know will shape how I advocate throughout my future career. After the workshop, we had lunch at the original Columbia Restaurant, established in 1905, which was a fun and fitting way to reflect on the day. We also had the chance to tour the Tampa office and connect with some of the attorneys we’ve been working with from afar.
To cap off an already exciting week, we found out our pairings for the upcoming mock trial and I’m thrilled to be paired with Emma Quattlebaum from the Tampa office. I can already tell this will be a fun and collaborative experience.
Week seven reminded me that no two days in litigation are ever the same. There have been so many opportunities to learn and grow!
P.S. My orchid, Doomed, is back and better than ever! Emergency procedures were successful and it is in full bloom. Thank you to everyone who reached out with messages of support, we both really appreciate it!
