I am beyond thrilled to officially begin my summer associate position at RumbergerKirk. This is truly a dream opportunity for me, and I’ve been looking forward to it ever since my final interview last summer. From the moment I spoke with attorneys and recruiting staff, I could tell this was a place where I would be challenged, supported, and encouraged to grow. Now that the program is underway, it feels amazing to finally be here.
One of the things that drew me to Rumberger was the structure of the summer program. I loved that it offers summer associates the chance to explore a wide range of legal work while also providing educational seminars and workshops to help us build critical litigation skills. It was clear to me early on, that this program is designed to give us real, meaningful experiences, not just observation.
Our brief orientation trip to Orlando only confirmed what I already suspected. The firm’s culture is friendly, collaborative, and focused on mentorship and development. Everyone I met was welcoming and genuinely excited to have us join the team.
As a current student at Florida State University College of Law, I am so excited to be working close to home in the Tallahassee office. With my strong interest in education law, I couldn’t have asked for a better placement. In just my first week, I’ve already had the opportunity to meet with attorneys and start contributing to real projects. I was even able to sit in to watch a deposition on my first day in the office!
I’ve only been here for a week, but I already feel like part of the office. The time is flying by faster than I imagined, and I’m already feeling sad thinking about how quickly the summer will pass. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the program has in store.
