Blank is committed to excellence and professionalism in the practice of law

RumbergerKirk Tampa Partner Robert Blank has been recertified in Civil Trial Law from The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education. Blank has been a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer since 2010, affirming his ongoing commitment to excellence and professionalism in the practice of law.  He is also nationally certified in Civil Trial Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

Board certification is Florida’s official, independent determination of a lawyer’s expertise to practice in a specialty field of law. It is the gold standard for Florida lawyers, representing a recognition by a lawyer’s peers that they have attained a level of professional expertise in their chosen fields. As of 2023, 5% of eligible Florida Bar members – fewer than 5,000 lawyers – have earned board certification in one or more of the 27 specialty areas.

Blank concentrates his practice in the defense of product liability and casualty cases. He defends a wide variety of manufacturers against claims of alleged product defect resulting in catastrophic injury and/or wrongful death. He also defends theme parks, water parks, trucking companies, beverage companies, retailers and other businesses against various tort claims. His extensive trial experience includes over 50 jury trials in 13 different counties in Florida, as well as numerous cases in Federal Court.

Board certification from The Florida Bar is a distinction earned only by attorneys who meet the state’s highest standards of skill, experience, and professionalism. Candidates must show significant involvement in their chosen practice area, complete extensive and specialty-specific continuing legal education, and pass a demanding examination that tests advanced knowledge and judgment. They also undergo a thorough peer-review process that evaluates not only their competence, but also their ethics and professionalism. The Florida Bar requires recertification every five years to ensure the integrity of the certification process. Learn more about The Florida Bar’s board certification.
