How I Made it to Law Firm Leadership Featuring Meredith Lees in Law.com
Cultivate Strong Relationships with Your Colleagues
Meredith Lees’ journey to law firm leadership was featured in the September 23, 2024 article, “How I Made Law Firm Leadership” on the Law.com website. She was appointed to Administrative Partner of the Birmingham office in March 2024.
“Being an effective firm leader requires a willingness to learn about the business of the firm and its people,” said Lees when asked what advice she has to someone wishing to ascend to firm leadership. “In addition, accept leadership roles on committees and make an impact on those committees. Most importantly, contribute positively to the firm culture and cultivate strong relationships with your colleagues.”
She encourages new lawyers to learn the practice of law and understand billable hours while also getting involved with an organization to start building relationships that will last throughout their careers.
“Since joining RumbergerKirk, I have wanted to make a positive impact on the Birmingham office and the entire firm. I believe in teamwork, collaboration and celebrating everyone’s victories, which are also part of the core values of RumbergerKirk,” she shared in the article.
