Larry Smith provided an overview of diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in the legal profession during a presentation at the 2022 Fall Conference & Celebration of Fellows for the Litigation Counsel of America in San Diego, California on Thursday, October 12, 2022.

During his presentation, Larry shared that the legal profession continues to struggle and lag behind the business community when it comes to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.  He explored why DEI continues to be a business and moral imperative, how the profession is responding, and the future of DEI for law firms.

“Larry’s impressive and well-articulated presentation on contemporary issues within the legal profession, particularly regarding acceptance and inclusion, was a highlight of the conference,” said G. Steven Henry, LCA Executive Director and General Counsel.  “His delivery style and intricate knowledge of this subject matter put the information forth in a casual, yet almost subliminally professional manner, while leaving the audience educated and entertained at the same time.  He has spoken for us before and will speak for us again.  He is truly a master in the subject area.”
