Nicole Smith provided an overview of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and its role in promoting equal opportunity in employment through administrative and judicial enforcement of the federal civil rights laws and through education and technical assistance. She also outlined prohibited discriminatory employment practices and the major Equal Employment Opportunity laws that prohibit discrimination in the workplace.
