Paul Lipton on 30 Years Advancing Professionalism and Civility

For three decades, The Florida Bar’s Henry Latimer Center for Professionalism has served as a guiding force for professionalism, civility, mentoring and leadership development across Florida’s legal community.

In a recent feature in The Florida Bar News, RumbergerKirk Director of Professionalism, Career, and Skill Development Paul Lipton shared personal reflections on his longtime connection to Judge Henry Latimer, the center’s namesake, describing him as “a force of nature” whose legacy continues to shape the profession today.

Paul has spent decades championing professionalism both inside and outside the courtroom, has also helped advance the center’s mission through educational programming, including The Florida Bar’s Your Honor CLE series and by providing insights for the annual mandatory professionalism CLE.
Today, the center continues to serve as a hub for mentoring, ethics education, leadership training and civility initiatives, helping attorneys reconnect with the values that build public trust in the legal profession. Paul shared, the center serves as “a safe harbor” for lawyers to remember their purpose and their responsibility to the profession.
