Understanding legal ethics and professional code of conduct can often extend to "non-laywers" who work with lawyers. During a CLE lecture on August 20 to the staff of the Innocence Project of Florida, Richard Greenberg outlined the definition of non-lawyer and the practice of law. He reviewed the Florida Bar rules of professional conduct and ethics opinions regarding what non-lawyers may and may not do when:

• Interviewing clients and potential clients
• Listing their names on business cards and letterheads
• Filing documents for lawyers
