Rob Blank And Carie Hall Win Fee And Cost Judgment For Busch Gardens After Final Summary Judgment Entered

RumbergerKirk attorneys Rob Blank and Carie Hall represented Defendant SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment LLC (“SeaWorld”) in a personal injury lawsuit. While visiting Busch Gardens, Plaintiff Myriam Yamashiro alleged she tripped and fell on the sidewalk near the alligator viewing area. Hillsborough County Circuit Court Judge Christopher Sabella found no liability and entered a Final Summary Judgment in SeaWorld’s favor on February 29, 2012.

SeaWorld moved for its attorneys’ fees and costs on March 26, 2012. Hall argued the Court should award SeaWorld its attorneys’ fees pursuant to a Proposal for Settlement SeaWorld had previously served on Plaintiff. Hall also argued the Court should award SeaWorld its costs as the prevailing party in the action. Judge Sabella agreed, granting the motion for attorneys’ fees and costs and entering a Final Judgment of Fees and Costs.
