RumbergerKirk's Leonard Dietzen to Present on How Social Media is Creating Legal Problems for Employers

RumbergerKirk partner, Leonard Dietzen will be a featured speaker at the FASPA (Florida Association of School Personnel Administrators) conference on November 5, 2009 in Tampa.  Dietzen’s topic is "HR in an Electronic World 102."   Dietzen will discuss how employers should be taking  notice of how social networking is creating legal issues while employees are at work or at home. Employers need to develop policies to address acceptable social networking uses especially for those professions who are entrusted with children. As with every significant policy, training of the workforce is the key to reducing the employer’s risk.

FASPA is composed of school administrators who have roles and responsibilities associated with personnel operations, and college/university personnel who are responsible for teacher training and certification.  The conference will be held at the Tampa Embassy Suites, UCF.  For more information, go to www.faspa.net.
