At the OCBA Bench Bar Conference on April 27, Sally Culley participated as a panelist on the "Workplace Cannabis” session providing an overview of the Florida legislature’s regulations implementing the constitutional amendment legalizing medical marijuana with a focus on the rights of employees and employers under the new provisions. Key points addressed during the session included:

• The continuing ability of employers in Florida to establish and maintain drug free workplaces

• Pros and cons of allowing employees to use medical marijuana

• Potential litigation that may arise from an employee’s use of medical marijuana and the employer’s response to that use.
