Sally Culley Interviewed by CNET about Grubhub's Victory in Employment Classification Suit

In an article published February 14, 2018 on CNET.com, Sally Culley is quoted about the Lawson v. Grubhub, Inc., lawsuit and its implications for businesses in the gig economy.

"Grubhub was a winner here," Culley said. But, "the case only applies to this particular plaintiff."

Other plaintiffs may have stronger cases, Culley said, even though Lawson was represented by labor lawyer Shannon Liss-Riordan, who famously sued Uber and Lyft in similar complaints. Both of those ended in settlements (although Uber’s is still pending).

"It’s a little bit of a setback for the drivers who want to be classified as employees," Culley states. "But it’s certainly not the end of the road."
