Partner Leonard Dietzen Offers Email Liability Insight at HR Florida 2007

Filled with offhanded remarks, unguarded comments and careless wording, email messages can be a disaster waiting to happen.  As a featured speaker at HR  2007 in Orlando, Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell Partner Leonard Dietzen addressed email liability concerns and steps companies can take to minimize the risks associated with email misuse.  

Dietzen explained why developing and enforcing a comprehensive email policy is critical to any company’s risk mitigation strategy.  During his presentation, Leonard detailed a three-step process to help employers ensure a return on their investment.

1.          Identify the personal and company risks associated with using email.
2.          Discuss the critical components of a comprehensive email policy.
3.          Stress the importance of training all employees on the email policy --Not just to management.
