Celebrating Cindy Bowers: 25 Years of Dedication and Growth at RumbergerKirk
In April 2025, Cindy Bowers celebrated her 25th anniversary with RumbergerKirk. She shared this reflection of her past years and what she looks forward to ahead.

The Early Days
I was a bit intimidated when I first joined RumbergerKirk as a paralegal in 2000. I had over 10 years paralegal experience, however, the firm was larger than I expected and the lawyers and legal staff were top-notch, hard-working, dedicated and well respected folks. The paralegals were, and still are, the brightest and best in the business, and I knew I had to bring my A-game. Needless to say, I had to hit the ground running. The first three months, I did not think I was going to make it. However, I was off to trial within those first few months of joining the firm and it’s been an adventure ever since.
Trials and Tech: Adapting Through Innovation
During my career with RumbergerKirk, I have worked on a variety of cases including large class action lawsuits, multi-district litigation, toxic tort, premises liability, product liability, insurance coverage, etc.. Initially, most of this work was in conjunction with my colleague, Sharon, who also still works at the firm today. Back in the day, we actually had to drive or fly to our client’s offices for document reviews and productions or go to the courthouses to review court files, whether on paper or microfiche. Trials consisted of projectors, old ELMO machines, poster boards and large easel pads. There was no Zoom, no internet file sharing, no Trial Director or PowerPoint in the courtroom. However, we did have the Summation program and that was the beginning of my exposure to online-based programs for organization, review and production of large document intensive cases. From there, technology just exploded to where we are today. We don’t even need to leave our desks most of the time or step in a courtroom until trial.
Teamwork and Mentorship
As I reflect on the last 25 years with RumbergerKirk, I realize I was impacted most, not by the substance of the work, but by those whom I work with, and I hope that continues moving forward as I help mentor the next generation of superstars.
