Robert P. Barton

Robert Barton first joined the firm as a summer associate in 2017, gaining exposure to various practice areas. Robert has since focused his practice on the representation of insurance companies in coverage disputes and bad faith claims in both state and federal courts.  As part of his practice, Robert defends insurance companies in cases involving homeowners, automobile, and commercial general liability policies. Most recently, Robert’s focus is on bad faith defense and property insurance coverage and payment disputes.

Robert earned his law degree from Stetson University College of Law where he was an Editor for the Stetson Law Review.  Robert graduated, with honors, from the University of Tampa with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. Prior to attending school, Robert served in Afghanistan as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, earning awards for his leadership and combat valor.
