During a webinar for the Florida Defense Lawyers Association (FDLA), Miami attorney Justin Guido addressed techniques for precluding a finding of permanency of injury at trial and arguing non-economic damages to the jury in motor vehicle personal injury lawsuits. Attendees learned how to combat testimony from plaintiff’s doctors about permanency of injury absent testimony from defendant’s medical experts. They also heard some suggested arguments to the jury for countering the non-economic damages figure posed by plaintiff.

Justin also examined case law for combating permanency including a discussion about how surgery and future medical expenses does not mandate a finding of permanency.
